New Nursing Salary

Published

My wifes son has graduated from nursing college and past his nursing board exam (not sure of the name of this certification).

He has also taken certifications for ER so he is fully eligible to work as a nurse in a hospital.

My question is what would someone just starting out as a nurse make as a monthly salary?

thx in advance...

Way back, government hospitals pays 8,000-10,000 starting salary, (Lucky if u got it ) for private hospitals they pay 6,000-8,000... :crying2: Hopefully they pay good now, but most of the hospitals now are in freeze hiring ... due to the huge number of nursing graduates.

In my previous hospital experience, they paid about 10K a month, and that was a private tertiary hospital.

could someone share about salary of nurses in tmc slmc cmc csmc ahmc mmc and others...

In TMC (The Medical City), I hear it's about 12K. In SLMC, I think it's 14K. In a certain private tertiary hospital in Manila where I worked, it's 10K. :p

However, you should consider yourself lucky if you're getting paid while working as a nurse even if the pay is quite small. :D

Goverment hospitals in Manila starting salary is 14k, +5thousand benefits on govt employees (magna carta, financial assistant etc.)

Thank God we have an increase this month.

For contractuals, starting salary surged to P711/day from the previous P456/day

For regulars, we have salary of almost 20,000 a month.

I work by the way in a government hospital.
