i'm a new grad and tomorrow is my first day in the NICU. is there any suggestion for me to read? what do i have to know.. i would like to review even the basic things.. i don't know what to start with.

I think you should let yourself relax the day before you start.
Once you get to the unit and see what goes on, your questions will be answered about what to review and learn. What one needs to review is individual.

Wait until you get there! which I suppose is today so congrats!!! It's always nervewrecking and it will continue to be for a little while. ALWAYS ask questions and write things down. Trust your preceptor and trust yourself. If you don't know it, ask it. No matter what the question is. We had a nurse once not ask for almost three weeks what FiO2 really meant and we expected her to know it from nursing school. She didn't las as a NICU nurse bc she was afraid to ask questions. We tried to convince her to stay as she had GREAT potential but was just too afraid of the intensity of the environment.
