New to the modern resume...

This whole idea of curriculum vitae and losing objective statements for the newer skill set summary, is completely foreign to me, and I've only been out of school for 4yrs! lol Now that I find myself in the position of needing to update my resume and look for a job, I keep drawing a blank as to how to write the skill summary that is often described as "the most important part of a resume". I've looked at samples from the internet with no inspiration, and have read sites that say to avoid being overlooked and list things like "goal-directed, superb clinical skills, critical thinker", but then see another site saying NOT to list those types of things because it seems too generic!

What have others found success by using? And just a little background; I have been a R.N, ADN for four years in the same emergency dept, and I'm planning to apply to one of our satellite facility's ER that is closer to home. I am ACLS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC, and critical care certified, and worked in a large, level 1 trauma center with approx 100k ER visits annually, and DO have excellent critical thinking skills lol.

Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer.
