Welcome! I'm new here too, and I have taken the NET. It's very basic...nothing to be stressed about! Good luck!

I took the NET today and passed. Read/study the ERI study guide -- all of the information in it is exactely what to expect on the test. I have not been in college in 20 years and was really happy that I brushed up on everyting -- don't wait until the last minute. For me the math was easy but the reading was hard however I did have an average score. I read all the time but the reading part was different and the ERI study guide saved my life! Good luck.

Hey 40- you said in another post you did okay, but not awesome..what did you score if you don't mind me asking. The reason I ask, my husband said the same thing and did a great job (we went together).
OP- The NET test is nothing to be intimidated about. A study guide is good, because frankly how many of us remember how to multiply and divide fractions...I can slam dunk an algebra equation though......I wish you all the luck in the world and let us know how you do....AND WELCOME TO THE BEST NURSING SITE EVER!!!

Are the NET and the TEAS (test of essential academic skills) the same thing? I'm working with the study guide already for the TEAS and I haven't even been contacted by the college yet! I tend to obsess over things, LOL. I thought I would need to really work on the math portion, because I was always better at reading than math, but I took the math test in the study guide and only missed 4 out of 60 questions. Only missed one in reading comprehension and two in language/grammar. Didn't do so well in biology - the genetics questions screwed me up. But when I become a nurse, will I really need to know what the percentage of color blind kids will be born to a couple where the man is not color blind but the woman is?
