Hi all
Hope you don't mind me posting here but I have received an interview topic for my nursing degree which I hope to begin in September.
My topic for group discussion is "Health is more than a state of physical wellbeing"
Anyone got some words of wisdom to impart I really want this to go well.
Thank you

well the obvious subject would be mental health. But don't forget emotional (not a mental illness) and spiritual. Look up some sites on holistic nursing, alternative medicine and community health. Sounds like an interesting topic.

It is an interesting topic, and there's lots of literature. Look up the definition of "health" by various national and international organizations, like WHO (the World Health Organization), the US DHHS, etc. Lots of good stuff out there. Good luck!! :)

Martha Rogers, my favorite nursing theorist, might also be a good source of info...& how impressed they would be that you knew about a nursing theorist. She's very "spiritual" in her theory...anyway, might be helpful.
