hello Allnurses,so I just received a new position of MDS coordinator? any helpful tips on what to expect in my new role.

Depending on your facility, expect to be best pals with the rehab director to set dates for the best rug scores. Expect to be overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of assessments you have to do. And expect to be not liked by the rest of the management team who will get pulled to the floor to cover a cart if someone calls out because the MDS coordinator is usually exempt from that.
