I am starting in September I figured it would be nice to start a thread where all of us new students could come and and share our experiences/help eachother out as we are on our way to be nurses :)

I start May 4th! I'm excited!

Hey Everyone! I just finished my first full week of classes and it's intense. We have class 8-3, with an hour for lunch and 15 minute breaks between each hour long class. So the day is broken up really well and it goes pretty fast.

Word to the Wise, if you have your books start reading ahead now, because your gonna have so much information coming to you all at once. We had 2 tests this week (I got a 97 on my first exam, took the other one today) and next week we have 4 exams scheduled, so far. Also, stock up on Notecards, Highlighters, Mechanical Pencils and Black Pens (we aren't allowed to use blue at our school). Get yourself into a good study routine early on and exchange numbers with your classmates, your gonna need eachother.

Congrats to all that were accepted and anxiously awaiting to start. I got my acceptance letter in the mail this Saturday. I'm so excited and scared. I'm currently 4 months pregnant with baby number two my daughter is 6...

AHinch1988: Congrats on starting. Your schedule seems pretty nice with lots of time to study. I hope all goes well.

Mondays & Tuesdays (lecture, lab, etc.)- 4:00pm-10:00pm

Saturdays (clinicals)-6:30am-3:30pm

hi guys and gals, i just got my acceptance letter today! i am sooo excited :lol2:!!! although, i dont start until august i am going to get a start looking at med calc books and try and get ahold of a fundemental book this summer. that is as soon as i finish out physiology this semester. i will say though i am really nervous about finding childcare for my kids i have been lucky so far and haven't had to cross that path. :uhoh3:

I took the A&P test today. Not as bad as I thought! Maybe thats cuz I studied like I was trying to find the cure for AIDS lol!

Hi all,

I start June 8th. I am so excited. I have put a lot of thought into this, and after much anxiety I am finally excited. I have everything planned out, and that was not easy with two kids. I will be going to Glendale Career College.
