Where to go to next after LPN?

U.S.A. New Jersey

I am really having a hard time deciding what would be the best option for me after i graduate & get my lpn licence. I want to get my RN but I want to attend a college that is local to me. It would be nice if I could find a bridge program but I am a little confused on where to look. I live in the north jersey area & I hear so many people talking about doing an online RN program which sounds great but it makes me kind of nervous as well. Can anyone tell me what they did to get their RN after their LPN? I just need some guidance to maybe give me ideas and places to look into. thank you!

Look at your county colleges. Most offer LPN to RN bridge

most lpn to rn programs are usually offered in brick and mortar schools..but if you plan on doing it online, make sure to check their accrediations..

you should start by looking into your local community colleges and hospitals to see if they offer bridge programs.

you can also check the NJ nursing board for the list of accredited schools, and maybe go from there

My local community college offers LPN's the opportunity to test out of the 1st semester of the nursing program. You still have to complete ALL pre-reqs, TEAS test, background check, etc like all other pre nursing students. I know a few nurses who are going through excelsior but that option did not seem like the one for me.

Jersey College in Ramsey has a full time 15 mo LPN to RN and you dont need to retake a&p if you had it in your LPN program. Holy Name in Teaneck also offers it but you will need your pre reqs. mulhenberg, and trinitas are also other options besides the county colleges
