UCC - which classes determine entrance to nursing?

What are the core classes that make up your GPA that determines whether or not you get in to the nursing program?

Your prerequisite classes like Bio1 and Bio 2 and Chemistry GPA is for the starting.

The minimum GPA requirement is 2.5

So a "C+" in all these subjects can determine your possibilities of getting IN

However,the recommendation is that you finish all you prerequisites before actually registering for Nursing classes.

At Muhlenberg you can even opt for accelerated if you have a bachelors.

Try to keep an average "B" that is 3.0 which can earn you scholarships.

Also doing Nursing classes after the prerequsites are done will give you an opportunity to concentrate on clinical aspect and help you to keep up your GPA.

Take advise from someone who has already gone through this.

I ended up doing almost all prerequisites in summer.Thank god.

Thanks for the response, but still not sure i am clear (sorry!)

FOr example, at a BMCC City College in NYC - you take 4 courses:

ENG 101

MAT 104

PSY 100

BIO 425

These 4 classes make up your GPA that determines if you get into nursing school or not.

Is that how it works at UCC? Sorry - i have been on their website and still cant figure it out.

i tried UCC a few years ago and got an "acceptance" letter from UCC into their nursing program.. tried to enroll into a nursing course only to find out that there were people camped out in front of registration to enroll into classes.. i didnt get into my class because there were alot of people more "qualified" to enrolling into the classes.. i ended up getting into an LPN program shortly after, that accepted me after passing the entrance exam.. much cleaner way of getting in.. eventually got my RN through an LPN to RN program at RVCC.. but that was just my experience..
