Ocean County College fall 2011 Nursing program???

U.S.A. New Jersey

Hi guys,

I'm completely new to All Nurses and already loving it. I'm done all my pre requisites and eagerly anticipating a letter of acceptance for the fall. I'm a stay at home mom, so I've been going to school (very) part time. It feels like I've been "pre" nursing FOREVER, and I can't wait to be an actual NURSING student! Anyone else out there waiting on their letter as well??? My evaluation letter said they should be sending out our acceptance letters by the end of April. I can't wait! :D

Did you apply for the traditional program or the OSOL? Good luck!!!

I applied for the traditional program. I feel like I want to get all the hands on and face to face help I can get. How about you?

I applied for the OSOL program just because I need to work as much as possible during the program and didn't feel like I could work much at all with the traditional program. Good luck to you, I hope you get accepted! I don't think OSOL finds out if they are accepted until the summer, so it's a long wait.

Thanks, good luck to you too!

Well, I got my letter today!!!!!! I'M IN!!!!!!!!!!:yeah::lol2::yeah:

Yay!! Congratulations!!! That's so exciting!

Hi! Congratulations on getting in! If you don'r mind me asking, how long did you wait before getting your letter. I myself am stay at home mommy and have been going to school full time, getting all the pre-req's done. Mine are all completed and of course took and passed the TEAS test. I recieved the same evaluation as you, stating how the Fall 2011 acceptance letters will be arriving in late April. I'm a little bummed to not have recieved it. Maybe because my date of completion is August of 2010. Just curious. Good luck and congrats again!

Sorry, don't know if my post was clear...what I meant to say was how long did you have to wait once your pre-reqs were done to recieve this letter. I have heard anywhere from one year to even two years. Just wasn't sure, because I don't like putting my life on hold just to get into nursing school, know what I mean. Thanks!!

Hi,

I finished A&P 2 in May of 2010, and passed my TEAS that month also. So I'll have waited about a year and 1/2 from the time I got my "date of completion". There are still about 20 slots available so you might still get a letter. I know they send them out in increments. If not you should definitely get in for the spring semester. The wait is a killer! Did you take Micro yet?

I know this is an older thread but I was wondering if anyone recieved a letter stating their "date of completion" once they finished their pre-reqs? I emailed Bridget Root about getting a letter and she said all I will get is my acceptance letter in October if I got in. I just want to make sure all my paperwork in being looked at since I just finished my last pre-req in June. Thanks!
