U.S.A. New Jersey

Hello
I have read some posts regarding IV infusion therapy nurses. Does anyone know how I can get started on this? I tried to email the Infusion nurse society but I haven't gotten a response. What qualifications do I need and also I hear some nurses work at pharmacies and do this. Any info would be
greatly appreciated =) I am in South Jersey so if anyone knows of any place
in that area, please let me know. Thanks again.

PIANISTRN,
What is your background and where do you work now? Many states have local INS chapters with regular monthly meetings. These are excellent resources for networking and education . Try Googling "New Jersey Intravenous Nurses Society ".
I have been an Infusion Nurse ( CRNI ) for many years, in home care and also acute care. It would be my pleasure to assist you in any way I can, infusion has been my love for many years.

There is a list of providers that discharge planners use in the area, you can google them, some are
Coram
Optioncare
Penn Home Infusion Therapy
Home Solutions
You can also ask the hospitals if they have a room where people go for outpt IV therapy .
You can call home care agencies and see who they regularly use for infusion.
You have flexibility if you just do visits in the evening or just in the day.
