I am excited and scared being that there is a lot of students to choose from, but I have hope.

I wanted to share this for those who might be going through the same situation and feeling a little lost.

TL;Dr: GO TO NJ BON IN NEWARK ONCE YOU GAVE ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS AND CRIMINAL BACKGROUND; ALSO CES IF YOU ARE REQUIRED IF YOU NEED THE NJ LICENSE ENDORSEMENT QUICKLY!

	My situation:
I passed my NCLEX on March 25, 2024 and got my license number from New York on April 3, 2024. Soon after I decided to start applying to New Grad jobs just to get ahead of the curve so I could beat the nursing students who are graduating soon from picking up the spots. I was applying for jobs in New Jersey because it is the state I reside.
The only reason I got my license in New York is because I was a foreign educated nurse (Philippines), they did not require me to take the TOEFL/IELTS, and from what I've heard from other students they said processing in New York for ATT was faster than New Jersey (I'm not sure if that is true).
Anyways, I quickly (and surprisingly) got a response back and was given the offer for the job that I wanted (Operating Room). They asked me if I was going to be able to get my NJ license by May 6. I answered that I could try to do it by then. They told me if I was not able to get it by May 6, my start date would be pushed to the first week of September, which would be 4 months of not working as a nurse.
During the processing of my other onboarding paper work, I received an email that my deadline to submit my NJ nursing license number by April 28 which literally gave me 3.5 weeks from the day I found out.

	My Solution with Costs:
Applied and Paid for my License Endorsement Application Online - April 4, 2024 ($200)

Submit ALL documents you can on the same day you pay for the application: Passport, Driver's License, Passport Photo ID

Paid for Nursys to send my NY license to NJ BON - April 4, 2024 ($30)
Booked and Paid for the Criminal Background Check - April 12, 2024 ($69)

NJ BON received the Criminal Background Check on April 15, 2024

	~Paid for CES from CGFNS - April 9,2024 ($485)~
~Paid for Expedite Review of CES from CGFNS - April 17, 2024 ($425)~

Time gap from April 9-17 was due to the wait I had to endure for my High School to send my High School Transcript to CGFNS by mail. I had lost my High School diploma so this was the alternative option I had. I requested my High School transcript to be sent on April 8, 2024 and it was received by CGFNS on April 17, 2024

Call rep. told me that to reduce chances of delay in the processing, some evaluators would want "supporting documents" to explain why I didn't have a nursing license in the country of my education. My explanation being I did not intend to practice there. She instructed me to upload scans of my passport showing the stamps of when I entered the country for my education and when I ultimately left (Should be somewhat aligned to the dates you were studying there)

CES Issued on April 20, 2024

Consistently called NJ BON to see what documents they received from me and what I was missing. Once, I got confirmed that they had all my documents except for the CES, the call rep. told me to upload the "CES Report Issued Summary" so they had receipt of it at least. I did this when CGFNS said my CES Report was Issued.
Once I knew they had everything, I traveled to NJ BON in Newark on April 25, 2024 (About 4 days after receiving the "Report Issued" notice from CGFNS) and went to go "Check the Status" of my application. I filled out 2 additional documents mainly on education and nursing license from NY. I waited there for about 10-15 minutes until the receptionist told me I would get my nursing license number online in about 1 hour on the online application and the physical copy would be mailed within 1 week!

Good luck to those who are doing endorsing!

Also, I've had straight A's through all my science classes I've taken so far. I wanted to transfer into Middlesex County College's nursing program. One of the requirements to get into the program is to take the TEAS test which you're only allowed to take once. The College states that there is no required score to receive on the test; it's just another factor that goes into their decision making process. Anyways, I have a bit of standardized test taking anxiety and I didn't do as well as I thought I would on the TEAS exam (I got a 66% it said proficient, the national & program averages are both 64%). I'm extremely anxious about getting into the college, I really, really, really want to go there. I need advise, based on my credentials what are my chances of getting in? I'm a smart hardworking student and I just want the college to see me as that, I don't want them to define me over one exam. I'm soooo anxious I just need advise.

County College of Morris (CCM) Nursing Students - Fall '12

I just wanted to see if there is anyone else out there that is starting the clinical phase of the program and going into NUR121 in about a week's time (OMG - one week!).

I'm excited and anxious, with a healthy sprinkling of terror from time to time.

Seriously, though, I'd love to hear from some fellow CCM students! :)

CCM (County College of Morris) - Anyone applied to Nursing program for Fall?

Hey everyone,

Checking in to see if anyone has applied to the professional track of the nursing program at County College of Morris, NJ for this Fall?

I need some company while I anxiously await my letter to see if I got into the program.

Let me know and have a great day :)

Trinitas school of nursing dilemma

Hey there everyone. I was considering muhlenberg in plainfield, nj but I haven't heard too much about it to decide if I really want to go there.

I interviewed for this hospital back in November for a Peds position and I thought it went well, they said HR was going to give me a call that following Tuesday. Fast forward 3-4 weeks later and I still haven't gotten a call from HR. Maybe a week after lo and behold I finally get a call from HR and just assumed it'd be about that position. She said I may have to spoken to a different person in HR but that there are other opportunities at the moment in case I was interested. I thought that was weird because I only interviewed that one time with the nurse manager for the peds unit. There's no way HR let alone a second person from HR would've even gotten my application unless the nurse manager informed them, right? She went on with the list of openings, medsurg, geriatrics, covid unit...etc. She said I can start in any one of these places first and move on to a different unit after 6 months. So I succumbed to it, I figure I'm obviously not gonna get the job I really wanted but this is the best hospital in the state so give it a try then move later.

She sent my application in for medsurg and next day I had the virtual interview. Typical interview, didn't think anything of it but they never offered a tour of the facility. I've also seen job postings for that same position in that same unit all over linkedin and indeed. Not to mention all the hiring event posters on facebook. It's been updated almost every week. When I was checking on Glassdoor, yelp, Google reviews about this place I read one review pertaining to that specific unit and this person said the staff was incompetent and negligent and led to the demise of her mother. Others have said they are so understaffed they couldn't even make sure the patients were fed throughout their stay.

So.....I'm scared because shortly after that interview they offered me a job and I took it without doing all the research before hand but now I kind of want to back out because it seems completely toxic. I'm looking for a supportive environment that's really going to help me become a better nurse but apparently that's a lot yo ask for these days. Is it a red flag?

Looking for some input.I took my NCLEX yesterday at noon (12:00 PM). Left around 2:15 PM with 114 questions. I had a mix of questions as far as SATA, priority and delegation, etc. Tried the PVT last night and got "Results on Hold". Tried today and used a valid CC number and expiration date but changed my CVV code to an incorrect number. The first time I received a message that the "Payment was declined. Reason. Invalid security code. Contact your credit card company or use a different credit card". A few hours later I tried again and used a valid CC number and valid CVV code but changed the expiration date year to an invalid year. Still received the same declined due to security code message. Has anyone ever received this and ended up passing? I have a feeling this is the bad pop up regardless and I failed but wanted to see what others experienced. Obviously nothing is official until I receive the official results, just trying to calm my nerves some. Thank you.

	Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks with the NJ Board of Nursing for APN Licensure process. I have submitted items in August that still are not checked off.

I call about 3 times per week... with no updates.

My file has been "escalated" twice now.

I have emailed multiple times with no response.

I have resubmitted the items not checked off.

I am not sure how long it is normally supposed to take (I have read and been told all different things).. but my last submission of items was 8/3/22.. that's 10 weeks ago! Super frustrating.

	Thanks for any insight!
