New ICU Nurse - Need help w/ resume

Hello Everyone, I'm currently trying to relocate to another city. I have about 6mo of ICU experience as an RN and over 1yr of experience in the ICU as a nurse tech in nursing school.

I'm having trouble with my experience section as an RN. I want them to see our hospital does care for a wide variety of patients, but I feel like this is way to wordy with too much information. I put this much because I want them to see how much experience I have so far.

Honestly, I have been on a few hiring committees, and I just skim all that stuff you have below each job. I understand you want to push the experience you have, but you will have the chance to do it in the interview. Your resume looks fine to me. But, I will admit that I don't think its a positive thing that you are leaving a job after less than 6 months as a new grad. You probably haven't been off orientation long. I feel like that is the biggest red flag on your resume, but I understand that people have various reasons for relocating. Just be prepared with a good explanation for leaving, because hospitals put a lot of money into training new grads, and if they leave in less than two years, they are losing that investment.

If I were you, I would call the nurse manager or nurse recruiter and let them know that you are interested. It seems like when you submit some of these online applications they fall through the cracks. Good luck with your job search!

Thanks! I am in contact with a recruiter and I asked about waiting till then end of the year to apply, but he said he thinks I have a good shot at a couple of the hospitals. I didn't realize how much stuff we actually do until I tried to put it on paper.

I want to apply to baylor's crna program one day so I'm willing to relocate (I want to move for personal reasons too) and I want to get good year of experience down there too before I apply.
