I'm looking for examples of new hospital construction with 32-bed nursing units configured in 16-bed pods.
Ideally, would like these to be in a new patient tower, or new hospital, or replacement hospital built since 2000.
Does anyone know of any?
Thanks.

The hospital I work for has just begun construction of a new 7 story tower with floors 3-7 having two 16-bed units on different wings of a "U".
What particularly are you interested in?
I am looking for the name of the hospital, the city, and the state. Thanks.

I know you're looking for examples of new construction, but the whole "pod" concept is not a new one. In fact, there's another pod-oriented hospital near the Houston (TX) medical center that was built in the 1970's. It's right across the street from the Miller outdoor theater and Rose Garden - beautiful location. I'm sure it was a radical concept at the time. Sorry I don't know the current name of it - it has changed hands (& names) over the years.
I do distinctly remember working there as an agency nurse in the 1980's - and my assignment for the shift included the dubious title of "Pod Nurse Leader". LOL It made me think of "Night of the Living Dead". Would that make the patients "Pod people"???
