New Haven CT area RN agencies

Published

I just moved here for grad school and have to work my way through school. I'm applying to every hospital in the Yellow Pages and also need to apply for agency work as I am nearly out of money. The only agency I've found is Interim, which does a lot of home health care. What other agencies are there in this area that you all recommend? What about travel nurse agencies that might be able to place me here, particularly for weekend work? I'm also going to call every LTC facility to see if they need RN weekend supervisors, that sort of thing. I need to get a job squared away before school starts. Several local hospitals rigidly require new hires to complete a one or two week M-F orientation, which I can't do with school starting after labor day, so those places are out. Any help? Advice? Thank you all SO MUCH for your help.

Hi , I lived in CT my entire life before moving to Ca a year ago...just finished RN school...my husband who is an RT worked in CT for many years through an agency...Favorite Nurses...they are pretty big out there... For hospitals , Gaylord in Wallingford is always hurting ...that is maybe 20 minutes from New Haven...also Hospital for Special Care in New Britain...maybe 45 minutes from you...alot of vents ...they call it a rehab hospital ..... i worked there for 12 years ......they are always looking for nurses.... maybe just go per diem somewhere so you don't have to do the mon-fri orientation? The one place that he loved working was Stamford hospital...( 30 minutes from NH). good luck
