I am happy to say that with a lot of perserverance and family support myself and 34 other students graduated from a one-year, fully packed, practical nursing program. Of the 35 graduates, 26 were original students we started with on January 9, 2011. We fought hard and happily on December 8, 2011 became the Graduating Practical Nursing C/O 2011:yeah:!!! Go SSC GPN's we all earned it!!!:)

I just submitted my applications on friday, so I am praying that I can sit for the nclex-pn boards within a month or two. Until then it's study! study! study! :).

:smokin:I'm so happy for you!!!!! I'm a new member and don't know how to operate so I can post a question I would like to ask
I'm trying to find out if you enroll in a vocational LVN school can you still get your lic after taking state exam are do you just get a certificate
If you register for the state board exam, sit for the boards, and pass...you get a license. Either you become a licensed vocational nurse or a licensed practical nurse, I think the LVN/LPN status depends on the school you attended.

Congratulations! Of course every single one of you pushed through all the hard work and definitely deserve it! Best of luck to you and all of your future nursing endeavors! :)

im so happy for you, i graduate jan 26 2012
I forgot to update my progress Graduated December 2011. Passed the PN-NCLEX on first attempt, February 2012. I have been a practicing LPN in Home Health for the last 18 months. Just enrolled into an online LPN-RN program and want to finish that within the next 18 months or less. I have a few other things in motion to give me more earnings while I make progress toward obtaining my RN degree. Hope everyone else has been successfully moving forward with their goals :)!
