New Graduate Nurse Looking for a Clinic job?

Published

Hi everyone! I'm going to be a new graduate nurse and the hospital setting never really appealed to me or called out to me. But I've been into in the community setting because of the more personalized and one on one interactions with patients and admitting them.

However, I am having trouble finding jobs that would accept a new graduate that is in a more clinical setting. Can I have some advice? I've been looking into outpatient clinics and of the like

Where are you located? Parkland Health and Hospital system has over 90 community clinics and is very much in need of nurses. I would give that a shot if you are in the DFW area. If you aren't, investigate the safety net hospital (if there is one) in your closest major city.

yes I live in the DFW area. Okay I will! I’m hoping there will be one that will accept a new graduate. When I was looking there are many places that wants prior experience as well and it’s difficult to find a job willing to train new graduate nurses. Thank you!

Right now, there is a massive nursing shortage. For clinic positions, I would think if you apply for RNI jobs you may get a nibble. Good luck!
