New Graduate Internships????

I would go to google and type in the city and then "hospital" and look at some of the hospital web sites. I had never heard of an internship (i just graduated in NC in June) until I moved to Alaska last month. there are four hospitals in my area and only one that offers internships. I am waiting to see if I got one. I found it by simply looking at the different hospitals online and then clicking on "Careers" and there was the info. Good luck to you.

P.S. I don't know what type of nurse you would like to be, but I always wanted to work in Cook's Children's hospital outside of Dallas (Ft. Worth). Check it out.

Not in any of the cities you listed but I know the University of Michigan hospital in Ann Arbor offers them in ER and OR.

i am still nursing student, but now i work as student nurse extern at st. francis hospital in illinois. this place offers rn intern program for graduate nurses. i do not know when you suppost to apply for position but what i have heard it should be about march/april when you graduate in may. you can check it through hospital websites. if you need more info you can pm me. good luck.

lists hospitals by state/city. Then you can access their websites and find HR depts, asking them. It will at least help you narrow down your search.

Thanks! You guys have been a great help. I am actually from Dallas and currently finishing up nursing school in Syracuse NY. I Know I don't wanna work Med/Surg so I am looking for internships in ER or ICU. I am Externing right now at Children's Medical Center Dallas until schoolo starts, so I wonder if that will help me get an ER internship next year?

Parkland has an awesome ER internship program, they also have lots of ICU options. I completed their NICU residency program and have been very pleased with the comprehensive nature of the program. Check them out!
