Ok I understand the no pay situation, but "no promise of employment on completion of the program. " ?

All it's going to be is a review for those who have been out of nursing school for a while and have yet to find a job. Sort of like a clinical refresher course.
There is no job guarantee associated with it or anything.
Dunno how amazing I would call it because most people who do it will still be job hunting after.

Calfornia is really getting smart on how they handle their own! I would do this program IF I was living in the area and a recent grad. I hope more of these programs pop up all over the state! It is a good program even if it doesn't guarantee employment.

CSUEB has a program like this to out of the Hayward campus. Definitely good if you want to keep your skills up. I think if hospitals were smart they would use this sort of program as free new grad training given the expense of getting a new grad up to speed is often cited as a reason for not hiring.

although not a guarantee of employment, at least one might get their foot in the door with the preceptorship. I am game for anything that keeps my skills up, helps me meet new possible employers and gets me out of the house!
Yes. I already stated I misunderstood it. I thought it was a PROGRAM.
I DO think it will be a good experience.

Its another thing you can put on your resume that will make you that much better than your competition/classmates. Beats sitting at home and randomly applying online to hospital websites.
