I am a little terrified about this tbh. At the bottom of the first cover letter you will see nurse aide or ER tech, but thats how it is on Hawaii. I am ok with that as this is my first job, but I want to be on this island even if I have to work as an aide for 6 months.

Dear Hiring Manager:
I am writing to you to express an interest in a RN position at your hospital. I am currently a registered nurse in the state of Hawaii with a bachelors of science in nursing degree from The Uni. I have much interest in working as a registered nurse within an acute care setting within, but not limited to, the emergency room or oncology.
During my education in nursing school, I have realized my computer, personal, multicultural, and professional experience have helped me become an excellent employee, as a bedside nurse and as a co-worker. My experience in interdisciplinary team has shown me the importance of communication for progression of a workplace. I also have a history of computer skills and electronic medical records which I feel is essential in regards to some of the upcoming changes to the hospital system.
In review of the hospital's mission, goals, and core values, I feel that I am a perfect candidate for your job. I am very confident that my skills can match, or possibly excel, the needs of your position. I have passed the NCLEX for Hawaii and am awaiting my licensure number to be issued to me. I have spoken with KB about the current hiring process for nurses. In light to my application as a nurse aide/emergency room tech, I am willing to work those positions until a registered nurse position opens up. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
me

I made a few edits and you can choose to use them or not. I added the address stuff. I thought the last sentence of the first paragraph was kind of strange so I redid it because oncology is not really acute care. I put your professional skills before your computer skills because it kind of seems weird to put computer before everything else. The NCLEX is a national exam so it sounded strange to say NCLEX for Hawaii so I changed that a little. Otherwise a good letter. Your best sentence is the one that ties together your experience with the EMR and future hospital reform.
Sorry about the scripting error. The top part just had this
Your address
your phone number
etc. etc.
Thanks, I removed the NCLEX in Hawaii because my license was posted today =D. I guess I was trying to say I got my initial license in hawaii but not a transfer. so I will be receiving it soon.
I had the address and stuff already on the original. The original looks way better and much more professional as far as the layout.

You do realize that you aren't allowed to work as a nurse's aide or as an emergency room tech if you're a licensed nurse in the state of Texas. Also you might want to include on what position you have worked as on your clinical experience.
