Hey everyone, I just graduated with my associates, passed the NCLEX, and will be in school full time this fall in spring for my BSN. I am torn on whether to wait and not work while I am in school so that I can be eligible for new grad residencies when I graduate, (many only take new grads with less than 6mths-1yr experience) or take a part time job at an Acute/LTC Peds facility while I go to school to get experience and money, which would make me ineligible for most residencies. Which is better? Waiting on experience so that I can do a New Grad Residency, or get 1yr experience and apply for regular positions with no residency? I would love any advice!

I would absolutely start working. There's no guarantee you'll get into a residency program anyway so why give up on the year of experience.
