Hi pidgz,
I've talked to someone over at HPH, and they pretty much told me the only way to even be considered for the new grad RN program is to work one year as an aide/tech. There's a possibility that you will then be hired on and can complete their new grad program. I have also talked to someone over at Queen's, and they told me that their programs are held in February, May, and September. Information and apps are available about 3 months prior. HOWEVER, they told me this in the beginning of March. I have yet to see anything posted regarding their program in May. I do also know that most of the time, they only offer the program in-house. You have to already be an employee there. As far as Kaiser goes, I'm not sure.
It seems like the only way to do it is put in your time as an aide/tech. It's discouraging. Good luck! Please let me know if you find any other info otherwise. Thank you.
i didn't try really search by HPH and kaiser yet,. i only tried Queens, i personally called the HR department and asked about the program, and she told me they have probably at the end of the month, and i also asked how to apply and she said just search to the job postings and look for [COLOR=#212121]positions labeled "New Grad Okay" but i haven't seen one yet, and so i told her that, and she said so most probably there's none as of now but she's certain that there is soon,. btw I'm a foreign grad in the Philippines but I'm residing here for 4 years now, i just graduated last march 2013, took my Philippine Licensure Exam for Nurses on Dec and my Nclex-RN just this March 15, I'm just so eager to find a job right now, cause it's been a month., tbh I'm losing my chances of getting hired since I'm a foreign grad tho. hopefully it's not a ground for me not to be hired.
I have a friend who works at Queen's, and she told me they posted fliers about a new grad program and to look out for it on the website. It never came on, and she said it's probably because it's in house. I say your best bet would be to get a job as an aide/tech until you can get hired on as an RN.

HPH and QMC both have great new grad programs. They're only open to employees so you'll need to work as an aide/tech first. The wait is usually a year at minimum. Kaiser does not have a new grad program but they do occasionally hire new grads that are already working in-house. At Kaiser orientation is really just shadowing (no classes) and is nothing like the programs at HPH/QMC.
