Hi everyone,
I am a new grad nurse and actually my first time writing here. I have a possible job offer for the Labor and Delivery/ Mother and Baby unit. It’s a residency program, so I don’t yet know what unit I will be assigned to. But I have my interview coming up, and I wanted some advice on how my previous experience as an EMT-third responder can be beneficial in terms of landing a job on the L&D or PP unit.
Thanks!!

Your experience as an EMT fits into the labor and delivery unit perfectly. Focus on bringing those tools to the table - to think and respond quickly, etc. They know you are a new nurse, let them know you are excited and eager to learn.
