Hi, my name is simon. just firstly wanted to say thanks, ive read the posts on these forums for quite awhile, even while i was preparing for my nclex, alot of it was very encouraging. I wanted to join the forums so i could hopefully get some tailored advice for myself. i am a new grad, and i am completely unable to find work as a nurse. i have worked for a temp agency for the dept of health NYC as a contract nurse where i gave h1n1 vaccine to NYC schoolchildren. beyond that, i'm not even getting callbacks.
i live in westchester NY, ive applied to places from rockland county NY all the way to manhattan with no callbacks, besides my job. ive applied for homecare and for nursing homes as well as hospitals.
any and all advice would be very appreciated.
PS im pretty sure theres about 1000 of these im a new grad what the hell do i do threads. sorry. i just really dont know what to do.

I would say just keep applying and applying. I am a new grad as well (May09) and took me about until last week to find a job. I got 3 call backs the entire time. I am sorry I don't have more advice but just keep sticking with it and eventually soon you will come across something. Does the temp agency have any other type of positions other than Flu Vaccinations which you would be able to do? Something so you could further add to your resume. Well best of luck to you.
