New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

i was charged $421 on my account. hmm..u better clarify that, send a return email to them or prolly call them or your registration officer (if you already have)..

well my sister had applied before for a skilled independent visa subclass 136. she included her family and I in the visa with her as the main applicant. after 4 years of processing all the needed documents, we were granted visa last year. and at the same year we all went to melbourne for our initial entry. luckily, im already graduating at that time. and when board exam of july 2010 came, I also passed it. So I am asking what will be the steps I'll take if Im already a PR in australia? Is it the same as with the others above my post?

good for you... if its ok to ask, did you present evidence of funds before the embassy of australia?? if so, may i know how much?? because I am also still waiting for my papers to be approved by AHPRA. I submitted last march 2010 and until now not result yet.. anyways luckily, my husband was granted masters scholarship in one of the universities in adelaide and our only worry now is our show money since I really dont know if 1-2 million pesos' really the figure.. thank you so much in advance

i've been waiting , since Feb 2010! I submitted Ahpra requirements end of October so we'll see :smokin:

Hello sandy. Thanks. I have a relative working in our town's post office and he never misses to bring all our mails as soon as they received it. And he always drops it directly to my fam's business location as it is just near to where he works. I guess Ill just have to wait, but a follow up for the mail doesn't hurt. :) I'll just hold on to what they told me in AHPRA's email, that they have received th application. :coollook:

Same here.I have not received any acknowledgement letter, too. Although they replied to my email that they have already received all my ducuments. Still waiting for their assessment. i hope it will be positive.:)

yup.. i've been there last week for my medical exam it's 4400.. plus if they require you to repeat other tests if the first one has bad result, then you have to pay it again.. repeat tests are not included in 4400.. =)

good luck to you if that 4 to 6 weeks will be followed... I mean i don't want to disappoint you but I was also told the same thing.. I am actually on my 9th week of waiting but still to updates from them.. I am just hopeful that your case is different.... =)

@leeros- I know that 4-6 weeks is too short so I am expecting updates after 12 weeks.

Good luck to all of us!!
