Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi kikaykit! I am also hoping that I'll be able to pass my application to AHPRA this week, just waiting for some documents from my previous employer. My PRC Certificate of Good Standing and IELTS result were sent last week to AHPRA WA. I paid about P1500 (IDP Makati via DHL) and P1,375 (PRC via DHL) for the courier charge.
Where are you planning your take your BP?
Good luck! :)

Try to apply online at VCHN and they'll send you details with application form. It goes the same with other BP schools
The following schools no longer offer the bridging program. I got the info from their websites and some I received through email. The schools are the following: SOUTH WEST HEALTHCARE, CASTLEMAINE HEALTH, EASTERN HEALTH, ROYAL WOMEN'S HOSPITAL, ST. VINCENT'S & MERCY PRIVATE HOSPITAL, ROYAL PERTH HOSPITAL, and EPWORTH FREEMASONS (Epworth Freemasons is not currently accepting applications, but you can try to contact them early 2012)
Who has tried the ONLINE APPLICATION for DEAKIN?
I have already registered at the Deakin University Applicant Portal. I have received my username and password as well. I logged in to the Applicant and Scholarship Portal so that I could proceed with the online application. When I got to the portion SELECT A COURSE, I entered under course title Return to Practice and Initial Registration (Overseas Nurses). After I did that, it said "NO COURSES FOUND. PLEASE SEARCH USING DIFFERENT PARAMETERS". I also tried entering the course code H011, the same thing happens.
How do I proceed with the online application? What will I put under COURSE CODE, COURSE TITLE, and LOCATION?
Thats because you must apply as an international student through the international section, not online at Deakin.
If you go to faculties and courses there is a link to this program here it is, tells you how to apply.

I think its faster in WA but more documents needed like the syllabus. then QLD takes around 2-4 months the most :) smooth process from what i heard. and they reply to email really fast.
