New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Yes, the interview matters a lot.... I have friends who were not able to pass the interview and were not accepted... On my part, I passed the interview but due to numerous number of applicants, I was not given a slot for this year in IHNA.... But, keep your hopes up and keep praying... God bless!=)

Oh God! Now im dead. hmmm.. I had a question that is soooo hard. I kept on stuttering to come up with the answer then eventually shes the one who gave the answer. Now im double dead. Ahaha.. PRayin for miracles though. thanks mhai and good for you. Congratz mate :)

Im having my BP at ETEA together with joiemike...=)

I'm considering ETEA now to take my BP. It's quite expensive though but its a good choice i guess. When will your BP commence Mhai? And if you dont mind, can I ask how I apply BP in their institution?

Right on! A friend of mine who had her BP there told me that the school prefers Indian students as well since they tend to avail of their package which includes accommodation... It's quite expensive actually...

The accommodation package IS through the roof! One is better off finding a place nearby and just walk to school. There were Filipinos who took the accommodation package but mostly the Indians do. In my opinion however, it doesn't really follow that the school prefer them over other nationalities.

Why don't you just leave it be? You can opt not to declare that you are licensed in New Mexico. I know of a lot who applied with AHPRA only with their PRC license and they got approved. This way, your application won't be delayed. ;)

Hello! Do i still have to take bridging courses in Australia if I'm already taking a bridging program for internationally educated nurses here in Canada? If I'd be able to get my Canadian RN license here, do i have to undergo bridging there? Thank you!
