Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Where did you send your application? how much did you spend in processing your papers? just an estimate so that i'll have an idea...regarding the CV do you have any tips on how to make? hehehe...
Just want to share with this site that I've read, Australia needs 20,000 nurses.
http://www.nursingguide.ph/article_item-731/Australia_Needs_20_000_Nurses_for_Their_Care_Homes.html
Praise God! Happy Sabbath!
Please think carefully when reading items placed by unions. At the moment these are 20,000 shifts not full time positions.
These shifts at present are covered by nursing agencies most of the time. Agencies have the nurses becauses nurses are paid well as casuals and would rather work for a nursing home on a permanent basis through the nursing agency.
Enrolled nurses are the mainstay nurse in aged care and many organisations are now training these to help with present and future aged care needs.
And are the ones mostly counted in these available shifts.
This article is all about getting wage parity with the acute sector. Not about importing more nurses.
Unions always make numbers look worded and twist statistics, this way they have leverage to argue nurses patient ratios and higher wages to the employers and government.
Julia Gilliard is Labor party a union party so therefore she try's to befriend the unions to keep votes and people happy.
So there are not 20,000 fulltime jobs just sitting over here waiting for overseas nurses to be sponsored.
.....and I might add posted through and wording changed by one of your recruitment agencies....who I would not trust absolutely none at all,....as long as they have lots of happy and excited nurses willing to pay out great amounts of money to them.....they survive and prosper, God looks after every nurse who should be treated equally as well for the same work. Praise the Lord.
Hi guys! I just found out that my registration officer is no longer working in AHPRA and that my application has been transferred to another case officer. Has anyone ever been on the same plight? I have not received any notification regarding this matter. My relative in Vic just called up Ahpra and that was the only update she got. I wonder if assessment will start over with the new case officer or maybe he/she will pick up from where the previous officer left off? I wonder if I've been placed last in queue with this new officer who has not contacted me yet?
Joiemike,
As far as I've been previously informed, my documents are complete and in order. I think with you it was the same case and then later you were still asked to provide your first degree TOR before they released the eligibility letter. Should I take the initiative to send my first course TOR even if they didn't ask for it and even if they already told me my docs are complete? The reason I didn't send it earlier was the fact that everything was already reflected in my current/BSN TOR. Knowing now how stringent they are with documents and reading about your experience made me contemplate on sending them these additional docs. It may help hasten approval. Any insights? Thanks
same here.still waiting for my eligibility. i took idp academic... and by the grace of god i got the required scores. my friends have slots for ihna so thats where id probably go... i think we sent our docs at about the same time frame... your letter would probably be out before the month ends.my papers are already for final approval after a week of getting stalled because of my error in in the agos form. im quite optimistic though that we will have eligibility letters soon... godspeed....
thats really good to for u.. i just want to know how much is the bp fee in inha? what documents we need to send? let me also know if u have any details about the books or lists of topics we need to read in advance for our bridging.thanks a lot

Hi earubi,
Having found out that your documents were not lost at all is really good news for you. If I were you, I wouldn't send docs that your case officer hasn't asked. Just have the documents from your 1st course ready in case your reg officer asks for them. In my case, the AHPRA officer still asked for my 1st course's TOR even though the subjects I took were already reflected in my nursing course. This includes the course description that goes with the TOR. They really treat each application on a case to case basis. Good thing for me that my reg officer only resigned after she released my AHPRA eligibility. As for your case, we really can't tell how your papers will be queued by your new reg officer. What I do know is the new officer will review your case where the previous officer has left off. Have you found out the name of new AHPRA officer reviewing your case? If you have, try emailing or calling him/her. Some officers do answer emails and/or answer phone calls.
God speed on your application. Continue praying and have a lot of faith. You will really undergo a roller coaster ride of emotions waiting and wondering when AHPRA will give their go signal for your BP. :lol2:
:)
