New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi. new here. interested in applying for aus bridging program. do u guys happen to know how much is the application fee? i've already filled up the ahpra application form but i have no idea how to go about with the fees... i plan to pay via creditcard. TIA. :)

a couple of them here are in melbourne, some doing BP now..

your family is rich, very expensive, 2 semesters of tuition versus 3 months BP.. anyway, next thing you will do after finishing the program is to apply for nursing registration at AHPRA, take note that it will be easier for you to process your nursing registration with ahpra as compared to us here.. okey.. so just focus on your studies, do not worry about AHPRA processing because it is chicken in your situation okey darl.. cheers!

We are not rich.. Just so happen that we said money that is enough.. Thanks for the information cioman.. You have been so helpful.. If there is anyone that you now from melbourne, can u help me meet them so i can have a few more friends.. I chose the converaion course because i am planning to take master of nursing after that since my friebd told me that 2 years full time education will make me eligible to apply for permanent residence.. Is this true?

Im sorry that is save money not said money.. Hahaha

2 years full time education is just one of the criterion you can gain points for migration. There is a new points system to be implemented this july 2011. Please check the DIAC website.;)

After the bridging program, if your student visa will expire and you can't find a job that will give you a visa sponsor, what will happen? Can you extend it or your only option is to go home. How can you avoid such a dilemma? If it's inevitable how would you handle it?
