Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
@ceridwyn... thanks for the first hand information...tsk tsk, i still do not have a "letter with my new number" that you mentioned.. although my name/registration is already in the registry..
peace..
Sorry, I was wrong, the letter form the new board does not have a number on it....don't stress
Congrats for those who received their visas and are soon to be in Oz!!!
God bless u all!
As for the not so cheerful news posted here before concerning jobs, I believe that ( as mentioned before) if u have exp and maybe a post grad certificate, it might be easier to find a job....
A lot has been said about jobs in the rural and the outbacks......does anyone have solid info about that?
For example, waht are the conditions of work in those areas? How much a RN is paid to work in rural?
Thanks for sharing!!! May God lighten up our spirits:up:

i think cerdiwyn is in a very good position to answer the issue on jobs, rurals, outbacks....
with regards to that matter of jobs and rural outbacks, all i can say is that, i will just wait when the time comes for you/others to start searching for work after BP.. then we'll talk and share what you/they experience versus what im experiencing right now..
i just hope i am wrong with my assessment and belief for the sake of all of us... peace..
