Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
Hi everyone!
is it true that the applications for the bridging course is closed? also, does anybody here know if there is a regulatory body for agencies(in oz) that provide staff for nursing homes in oz?my batchmate wants to check if the agency that he is planning to commit to is actually registered.
hello!
just finished reading all the threads. i was really confused where to start or where to stay in australia since i don't have any relatives there.
do i have to finish my ielts first or do i have to gather my documents and submit it and take my ielts. and which place in australia that is cheaper to stay?
hoping for your suggestion. :)

I've never been to australia but from what I heard from most people who have been there, it's less expensive to stay in brisbane. Aside from that, I also heard that the place is beautiful and a lot more relaxed as compared to the metros.
I myself have not taken my IELTS for an all 7 band score. But what I'll do is submit the documents first and then take the IELTS. Afterwards, I'll have it forwarded to the nursing board.
application sent to NMBWA: March 16, 2010
IELTS result sent: March 10, 2010
Assessed: April 7, 2010
Today, I received an assessment letter stating I need to submit my ielts result. I emailed them the details that i already sent them my ielts result. The letter also says that i will be receiving my eligilibity letter once my result meets the requirement.

Good luck to you drednag!
You'll have that offer letter soon... don't worry. Ryan's really recommending ETEA, perhaps they also help their students find jobs plus their program has early exit option, i believe so. September and October 2010? wow... BP's are really getting filled up every day.
