Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
They will send you acknowledgement first, then after the assessment the letter stating you can now have BP(W/c will be presented to the education provider). Its a bloody long process!plus make sure you get ALL the necessary vaccines coz it may take a while as it cannot be given bolus. So my advice while waiting get the immunizations and blood test so that your expenses wont be all at the same time.Unis won't allow you to be enrolled not unless you have completed the vaccines. They are really going to ask the medical certificate for each vaccine.
@kuchi
hy i would just like t0 ask what are the vaccines needed for me to have. and can you pm me how to make a statury dec? coz i also dnt have a exp. just pass the board nov 2008 and i still dont have my pRC board certificate.PRC will release it late january of 2010... pls help..
thnx and God bless
ANOTHER HELP NEEDED.
Certification of Documents.
Since I am not in the Phil. I have to do my certification of true copies through the Phil. Embassy -and they charge an arm and a leg. Not to mention, they want my license copy to be sent back to the Phil. for the DFA to authenticate (red ribbon), my other docs are red ribbon'd already ...but some users here advised me that NBV wont accept such certification -I have emailed NBV about this. No reply yet. Perhaps after the weekend.
I posted a forum in the local site here. And a Canadian lawyer working for a big corporation offered to help me for a fee of course. I dont know but Im a bit skeptic, pessimistic, negative etc..
So Im just thinking of sending back my papers back to the Phil then after having notarized/certified have them sent back to me then to NBV.
(advise needed)
My other questions: what would be the procedure for certification of true copies through a notary public? what are the requirements? I have to instruct a relative or a friend specifically and also so that I wont missed sending any required documents.
Requirements to certify: school certificate/diploma, transcript, birth certificate, passport copy, license copy, hmmmm what else did I miss??
Please tell me how did you guys go about yours. My documents are all set and ready. Atleast I thought they were. :) Fedex here I come -everyday
Paging chabeli, ryan and the rest! help!
Hello! my friend got a letter from nbv requiring her to submit a statutory declaration or affidavit why she didn't work for a period of time. Does this have to be notarized by an atty? or can she just write an explanation and sign it? Thanks!
Hi!All documents should be notarized regardless if it is a certificate or just a letter.Keep a copy for your self in case something happens with the courier.NBV is very meticulous re dox, this is why so many applicants got delayed with registration.Best of luck!

true copy checklists
- the certification must appear on the front of each page of the document.
- each page must show original signature
- date of certification
- name of individual certifying the document
- signature
- contact address - phone number

Hello everyone! another noob here...i'm a june 2009 board exam passer and for the last 5 months, i've been enjoying my vacation/break [tambay!]. it's about time that i start thinking of my future. next year, i'll be taking the NCLEX-RN and maybe start applying as a volunteer or staff nurse.
with all the retrogression that's going on in the US, chances of securing work in the USA is really slim. that's when i started thinking of other countries like CND, NZ and AUS. so far, australia is the most attractive working destination for me because of the climate. US is still my priority and AUS second. if the US is still in retrogression 2-3 years from now, i'll definitely go ahead with AUS. So, here's my newbie question, how can i work in AUS? this thread has 3500+ comments and browsing each reply will take time... a link perhaps that contains some useful info or what part of this thread should i start reading?. i want to be enlightened... i want to plan my future carefully...
first, you read and check the website of the following (just google it): Queensland Nursing Council, Nursing and Midwifery Board of New South Wales, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Victoria.. look for their icon/option on registration.. it will give the policies, requirements, documents needed in applying for nursing license..
Afterwhich, you can shoot your questions to this thread and many here would be glad to help you, but first help yourself first by checking on the said websites..
As an overview, the cheapest route is the Queensland Nursing Council, next is Victoria, the most expensive is New Soutwales (@ Aus$10,000 just on tuition fee).. Victoria and New South Wales are bridging program which means you have to be in Australia for @ 2 months.. Queensland is a combination of written exams held in Manila, clinical exam in Brisbane, and/or online program, it will generally depend on the result of your exams in Manila.. Queensland had the longer waiting or processing time as compared to others..
Good Luck
Planning to send my documents back the Phil for Certification instead.
I just want to ask how to go about certification through notary in the Phil.
Do I just photocopy the original and ask the notary public to stamp and sign each page?
No additional papers I should be signing during/ fter the certification? (because I can not as I wont be physically present)

I emailed NBV as well ...but thanks guys!
I might just send my documents back in the phil to have them notarized there instead of doing it here. It will cost me an arm and a leg.
same thing with the Passport copy and License copy rigth?
Cheers!
