National Registration and Accreditation Scheme
National registration for health practitioners is due for commencement on 1 July 2010. At present, we are unable to provide detailed information until the new legislation is released and specific policies are developed. This includes the requirement for demonstration of ongoing competence to maintain registration and enrolment.

so etea still open for feb.... i inquired on vchn and they said that their's start at january also though they didnt tell me if slots are still available but they gave me an application form
Today, I also received my Letter of offer from La Trobe University. i will be paying the tuition fee within the week so I can already start processing my student visa :) Thank you Lord for all the favors :)

I just received my assessment from QNC,unfortunately,it is incomplete and the council requires me to resendcertified copies of all the requirements(the notary public did not include their telephone no. because there's none =) ),course descriptors and an EVIDENCE OF RECENCY OF PRACTICE,AND FITNESS AND COMPETENCE TO PRACTICE.
To those who got a complete assessment,what did you send on your application?As far as i remember i answered "no" on Have you practiced as a nurse or midwife since completing your qualification? because my hospital experience was only as a volunteer nurse.

no, not yet. but probably this year. im not sure if they will process after january 2010. to be sure, just pass before dec 2009 ends. that's what i will do
not yet , it's still too early to look for a place... maybe sometime december is a good time, early december.

my gf's mom works in philippine airlines. she said we can get 1 way ticket only if we have a student visa. im still not yet sure if im taking pal or qantas. i am waiting for my tita's response bec we will be leaving together. my gf is going with me also...

the univ actually quoted me $160aud/week for their accommodation, i think that already covers for water and electricity, anyways.. if you will be able to find a cheaper deal, then i'm up for it..that is..if your gf will also agree.

you can process it on your own. all the info you will need is in the website www.immi.gov.au . you can search for non-award student visa and see the requirements and application form.

This is sad, the council/board is really strict about the certification of documents, that is why you should really look for a notary public that can provide all the necessary information. Get the course descriptors from your nursing school, it is more than 10 pages, i think, submit a certified copy (notarized) together with the other docs. As for evidence of recency of practice, they accept volunteer nurse experience. Good luck.

Thanks Sashi for replying,I am actually expecting that i need re-do the whole notarization process again,i was aware that i miss the telephone no. but it was too late.I asked already my school to make an course description, and by this week i'll be sending the additional requirements.Overall,it is still a positve assessment.
