Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
i haven't got my board certificate yet, would there be a substitute for that?
in my case, i became a registered nurse in june of 2007 and just last week i have received my board certificate after almost two years of waiting...when i lodge my applications to the Nurses Board of Victoria and to the QNC, i only submitted an Initial Registration certificate and not the Board Certificate...
so i have to apply still for the initial registration cert. ? what about the certificate with a picture on it, coz i saw someone having it, is that the board certificate or the initial registration certificate?
as what i have said a while ago, you can submit an initial registration certificate as an alternative. but if you have got a board certificate then that would be great too...you can submit either of the two certificates.
as for my application, i did not submit any certification with a photo on it...initial registration cert does not bear the nurse's photo. if you saw someone having it, then that could be the board certificate.
oh i see, i just recently passed the boards and just got my license that's why i'm a bit confused with the differences of the certificates,
you can request for an initial registration certificate for you to submit to any boards of nursing in australia, that would be a substitute to the board certificate that is not yet issued to you.
also, you need a verification of initial registration that will be sent by the prc.
:)
hi,you can go to CAS, Queensland thread...
a certain forumer (joeturtle) just received his visa from the australian embassy, its called tourist visa class 676...and he is allowed to stay in queensland for three months.he will be doing the CAS test b there.
ryan is right, CAS will instruct you to get a 676 visa (tourist)..that's what I applied when I went to do the clinical part. This visa can be processed in 2 weeks...but the thing is, you must get the full medical exam, the standard health requirement for a tourist visa is just an x-ray..you must tell the clinic that you'll enter a health facility that's why you have to get a full medical.
Help Guys,
Just filling out the form the new 2008 dec form and this one has item 10 which seemingly looks like an statutory declaration. Will having item 10 notarized make it suffice and good as a statutory of declaration. Because on the old form the 2007 one this item was not included yet. So can i just use this?

yes...
you only need to submit initial registration cert. and a verification of initial registration cert. form the PRC. the verification of initial reg. should be sent directly to QnC from PRC. the appplicant shouldnt be the one who will send it to the QNC...or else they wont accept it.
