St Mary's actually has the busiest ER in town. You will get a great experience there. Plus, there are some really good people working there. To boot, their ER is newly built.
I wouldn't live in that area though.

I live in the northwest side of tucson - in marana...I would recommend living in central tucson or on the northwest side of town...that'll give you about a 20min ride to st.Mary's...what do you mind my asking are they starting your pay at as a new grad...it's got a great training program so it'll be a great place to start!!

I worked at St. Mary's years ago. Whatever you do - I wouldn't rent a house around there. I prefer the NE side, but that is far from St. Mary's. A good choice would be to look NW. You could also consider central Tucson but you have to be careful about the neighborhoods and some get quite pricey. Be careful of the area surrounding St. Mary's. I used to go in every morning at 5 AM. More than once I heard gun shots quite close by. Be careful in the parking lot too. I remember two nurses were sexually assaulted in the parking garage. This was years ago. I am thinking they probably have cameras now, etc. Good people at St. Mary's.
