Hi,
I am a Registered Nurse in India having successfully completed my CGFNS Exams last month. Please advise me briefly the steps to do for the USA emigration process. Kindly also advise me as a starting process if I file I-140 now, will it help me in any way to stand in the queue or I should wait until the lift of Retrogression of nursing.
I am currently in India. Above similar threads did not help me pl!

Not sure why you wrote that exam when the NCLEX-RN can now be written in your country. Unless you are planning to work in the four remaining states that still require it for initial licensure.
You do not star the immigration process to the US, it actually must be done by an employer, and you will find it hard to find one without having the NCLEX-RN exam passed.
We expect the retrogression to be in place for quite a few years, especially for those from your country as visas are issued based on where you were born.
The I-140 cannot be submitted by you, again, that needs an employer willing to petition you. It would be advantageous to get it done when possible, but make sure that you find an employer that will be in business by the time that you have a chance at a green card. Please be aware that there is nothing that is guaranteed any longer, you will only have a chance at the visa.
Please take the time to read the Primer at the top of this forum. And the threads here apply to all foreign nurses that wish to work in the US, there is no difference on the country that you are from, all have the same requirements.
