Hi,
My partner and I have decided to move back to our home country the UK. I have read the NMC requirements for registration and feel my situation is unique and not fully represented on their website. Im looking for any advice.
Here is my situation
What I need to know, advice please!
- what are peoples opinion on my obtaining registration with the NMC given my current registration in Australia and experience. I understand that I have minimal experience as an RN but collectively I have a lot of experience in the area I wish to work in which is aged care.
- what can I do to improve my chances prior to immigrating back home (I left when I was 6 but I have dual citizenship to UK and Australia.
Thankyou for any feedback. I feel a bit hopeless at the moment as I feel the past two years I have spent getting my degree has been a waste of time as I seem to be unemployable in the uk.

NMC is a hard process to go through. All you can do is apply and go through it. Without registration with NMC you cannot work as a nurse in the UK
..i already work as an RN in Australia, so am well aware of needing to be registered to work. My question was aimed at anyone who has had a similar career experience to me.
