Just chat with some of the RNs who work in the Southeastern states. It is common for Mississippi RNs to earn in the $16 hourly range as a new grad in a hospital. Arkansas is not much better, because some of their hospitals start new grad RNs at about $17 per hour. I'll repeat firmly that Nevada is not the lowest paying state.
