Hi everyone!

Who among you guys are going to apply for the 2017 track? Either Spring or 2017!

What classes are u still doing? Have you guys attended the Health Orientation already? I'm about to attend mine tom! I'm transferring credits from other school, and looking at the degree sheet, I need to take 5 classes more so all the Prereqs and Gen Eds are all done (after the 5 class)

Lets help everyone whose trying to get in and might help each other out on whoever is trying to get in as well!

Good night

I've talked to touro on the phone but have t gone to an info session yet... I really want to because there really is not much info or reviews about them on the boards ! But I'll apply to csn with 29-30 pts... Wh oh I wasn't even going to bother... But at my advisor meeting she said the last few sessions were a miring in the low 20- high teens so i figured why not... But if I do t get in spring 17 I don't think I'll go to can at all with the program changes!

What are all the program changes you know about? I'm hoping to apply for Spring 2017, but possibly Fall 2017, depending on how everything transfers for me.

Starting the fall2017 semester they will be adding CNA courses to the program pre reqs...

Yeah, that's all I've heard about too. Just wondered what else was changing. I spoke with one of the professors last week and she said the whole program was changing, but didn't say exactly what.

I had my appointment with the nursing dept counselor and he said the cna program is being added for fall 2017 as well as there's going to be changes to the Kaplan test. They're going to start accepting overall scores, sort of like NSC, instead of individual scores for the four subjects, reading, math, writing and science.

I think that's wonderful, because more people have a chance.

Hi All,

I am just waiting for my transfer credit to be completed and I will be sending in my application for Spring 2017

Hi All,

I am just waiting for my transfer credit to be completed and I will be sending in my application for Spring 2017

Are you taking any classes this summer, and have you done the limited entry workshop yet? Did you take the KAT or TEAS? I won't be ready to turn in my application until mid-August... :nailbiting:

If you don't want to take the cna course, I suggest making sure you get into the spring 2017 semester. Something came up, so now I have to apply for fall 2017 and I have to take the cna course. I'm bummed because I'm done with all my classes and thought I was going to have a free summer and fall, but oh well I guess continuing to go to school will keep my mind working and ready for fall nursing school.

I took the teas in the past, but it is expried now. I took the KAPLAN last saturday. I am complete with all my pre-req's. I have done the workshop shop and met with my advisor.

I'm taking bio 189 at unlv this summer. Is there a way for me to register at csn for 223 before I'm done with 189? When i tried to add it,it wouldn't let me since it's a pre reg for it.

Hello everyone.

I too am hoping to get into the Spring 2017 ADN program. I've finished up everything, including courses, and meetings/workshops. So, I am just starting to get everything in order to submit my application prior to the deadline just in case something isn't complete. I would recommend turning in your application a couple of weeks to a month before the deadline, that way you can attempt to schedule an appointment to find out why it's not complete.

One question I do have, can anyone tell me what steps they went through by obtaining an approved unofficial copy of your transcripts or diploma? I did contact my high school and they redirected me to the transcripts.ccsd site. But I remember reading somewhere that you can just copy your diploma but that doesn't sound right.

Unfortunately, you can not register for Bio 223, 224, 251. etc. until you've passed 189. You should talk to a UNLV/CSN transfer adviser. Just make an app online. You should be able to see them right away. Perhaps once you've finished 189 and transferred it over to CSN it will count in time and you'll be able to register for BIO 223. Good luck!
