I received two job offers from two different specialties, namely neurology vs urology. Both offers have similar salary range and bonus incentives. Urology offer includes hospital and clinic coverage (which is fine with me plus no night calls too) and supervising MD will train me in surgery (which I find very interesting and I'm so excited just thinking about it). They offer 3 week vacation leave.

Neurology offer is clinic only and offers 2 week vacation leave. I have 2+ yrs experience in neuro as an NP and I feel a little sad if I leave it for urology but I am very excited about being trained in surgery even if I just assist.

I would appreciate any opinions.

I vote to expand your horizons and go with urology

The benefits with the neurology position seem stingy. Plus in clinic only
