Nervous about the Michigan CNA state test!

Studying to take the Michigan CNA state test at the Kramer Center in Warren, Mi. I am very nervous about the skills portion of the test and trying not to talk myself into cancelling. I am terrified that I will fail. Has anyone taken at the Kramer center that can put me more at ease? Thanks! caterpillar30

I haven't taken it there, but I took mine in Grand Rapids. It wasn't hard at all. I got three easy skills, and even though I was really nervous I did fine. Just tell yourself that you will pass!

I took mine at Washtenaw County Comm. College.. the skills test in general was not the hard. I mentally did a snap shot, before I began. What help was I wrote on index cards procedures and steps to each that was learned. You actually have over an hour to perform the three steps. The small things is what not to forget. Like the bed pan, or the correct way to have the washcloth on hand when doing a washing. Good Luck.

I am actually taking my test on Monday at Washtenaw Community College. I think I may stop looking at the message boards because they seem to make me more nervous now. I was wondering if anyone else had taken theres at Washtenaw and how they were or if they have any advice.

OMG!!! I know how you feel! I take my test @ HFCC in dearborn next month and I'm soooooo nervous!!! Any tips on what to execpt??? How many skills will I be tested on exactly? Is it only one person testing me or a panel of people?

A great thing to do is go to youtube. There are a ton of videos with all the skills you may be tested on there. Did you teachers in your CNA class not go over any of the test info with you? I didnt event know that they did the state testing at Henry Ford. They reccomended Washtenaw because they said it is most like our lab at Schoolcraft. I will let you know how it goes on Monday. Honestly, I was not that nervous until I started reading some other peoples posts and now I feel like Im going to vomit. I am just going to practice practice until Monday:-)

I will be taking my exam probably around october 2011. I need help in choosing which testing sites are probably the easiest/nicest people to take the test. I hope someone can give me a reply asap! :)
