Hello
I just enrolled for nursing and I have been so nervous regarding the math involved. In high school math was not one of my favorite subjects to say, and then when I went to college for Medical Assisting I took the Math that was needed. I so want to be a nurse because I want to help others and make a difference, I just fear the Math courses, all the other courses I am fine with and look forward to them, but Math I just would rather take it and get it over with, is there any way that I can appreciate the math that is involved without being worried that the Math will hold me back.

I suggest Henke's Med Math. The author, Sue Buchholz, is one of my instructors. It is very well written by a very 'student-friendly' instructor. You can find it on amazon.com.

I have always been terrible and i mean terrible in math and was scared to death of pharmacology. But i applied myself found a formula that worked for me and passed my pharmacology test on last week (got all of my math problems right). My friend and I found a math teacher that tutored us every thursday til the test and it paid off. I hope that kinda eased your fear a little. I used the Calculate with Confidence book.

I went to Math.com to review and it really helped me. I suffer from 'Mathphobia' and 'testphobia' in the worst way and this helped me.
