Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?
When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.
So my application still says Submitted, no credit check or anything that I can find.. I tried calling to get some information but didnt really get anywhere.. just that they are still giving out awards and to continue to check my email.. my application number is in the 5000's and maiden name starts with "W" (got married after submitting) if that means anything.. any one know if I should keep my hopes up or start to mentally prepare for the let down =(

It's not over till it's over. That means you still have hope. Focus on that. If it doesn't come thru this year, you'll have time for the let down then. But before you know it, it will be time to resubmit your application for next year if you have to. On a previous year's blog, one person was able to find out what was wrong with her application after the award process was completed. Soif you don't get it, you can call them and ask why, and then maybe it is something you can do differently for the next submission. A number of us have applied multiple times in the past without sucess. But have either already been awarded this year, or have at least gotten further in the process then before. So keep HOPE.
So I applied for 2012 NELRP back in February and have not heard ANYTHING since. No email, phone call, mail, NOTHING. I checked my application status today and this is what it said:
We did not receive your confirmation to accept the 2012 NELRP award
and required documents by 08/16/2012. Your online application has been
removed from consideration and is no longer eligible for a 2012,
award.
Your overall Application Status is: Finalist for Award, No Response
Has anyone encountered this before? I sent them an email and am going to call tomorrow morning but what can do? I pretty sure it is too late and I don't think they are real flexible even in a situation like this
