Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful!

It's crazy because i am @ work right now until 7pm and i read this blog and just know that when i get home i will not have the award letter because none of ya'll do....

Hey everyone, could someone please tell me how to find out if a HOSPITAL is eligible? I know how to search for health centers, but I want to know about hospitals. Maybe post a link so I could see what specific hospitals are eligible. Sorry if this is redundant and already on here. Just 60 pages is a lot to search through on this thread. I have a potential opportunity at a major teaching hospital associated with the local University of my city. Would that count?

NurseandLovinIt- I'd say the only way of KNOWING is to talk to your HR dept. That's what I did anyway.

Amy, I'm the same way. I got off at 1730. I think this is a tad better because my hope is deflated BEFORE I check my mailbox.

NurseAndLovinIt- Your HR should know. But I'm pretty sure it can change from year to year. My friend's hospital was a DSH last year, but didn't qualify this year.

I was under the impression from the hrsa website that we would receive notification via email not regular mail... Is this not the case?

my understanding is that they contact people who are potential recepients first by email for banking info etc. then these applications are sent off to get approved/awarded and then the signed contract/award letter is mailed out via postal service

Have most people received emails and are now waiting on an official contract by mail? I didn't know if I should keep looking for an email this late in the month. I hate the waiting game!!!
