Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful!
Thanks!
Does anyone have any advice for next year's application? I had trouble getting consistent information on what to put down for my loans, as Great Lakes said they didn't consolidate my student loans, but my loans that had the same interest were combined and couldn't be seen individually, though on the federal report they could, so I feel like that's where a possible error could have been made. Also, if any of you had wachovia student loans, how did you put that on your application, as they have all transferred over to wellsfargo, but when I have called, WellsFargo states that they were not sold, which is what I put on my application. If anyone has any advice for me, please let me know. I have been praying on this break for so long now... guess it will be at least another year :-(
Hi everyone. I've been following this thread since February. I too have received the email (verification of interest, contract to sign, bank info) on July 14. Does anyone know if this is the first draft of emails sent? Does anyone know the possibility of being awarded after the sending in the forms or is this just another formality? Does anyone know how long it took for previously awarded recipients to receive contracts by mail after faxing in the forms?
Thanks.
Did anyone call to verify that they received your fax? I don't know about you, but a little confirmation from the fax machine is not doing much to ease my worry that it got lost in cyber transit. Am I being silly? Surely they're monitoring their incoming faxes well, right? Surely if there was an issue with the fax not getting through, I would have known on my end, right?
**biting my one remaining nail**
I hope that the blue and gold team thing doesn't mean anything important. . No I didn't call to see if they received my fax but I may tomorrow (monday). I got a confirmation fax so I figured it went through. Did anyone else from Louisiana get a verification email and if so, what team? sigh...for those of you getting discouraged, DON'T! I am sure they have tons of emails to send out and they just now are starting so just keep praying and being patient. I know that's easier said than done, but keep hope alive people!
Hi everyone, I am brand new to this but I thought I could use the support of fellow nurses going through the same stress. I received the email this week, but I was in the middle of my work week. I am worried because I faxed all of the forms at 1604, a little past the 24 hour deadline. Does anyone think that will make that much of a difference? I called to confirm with the HRSA hotline but they were unable to give me any information! Also...in the rush of sending everything I did NOT write ATTN: Richard Callahan (I missed this in the email). I only wrote ATTN: NELRP. I am very stressed about this! Any feedback??
Hi all! I'm new to this... After receiving an email from NELRP on 7/14, I became obsessed with finding out as much information as possible. I know it is not official until you get an acceptance letter and I am trying not to get my hopes up, but it is difficult. My letter was from gold team, 145%, TX.
Well there goes the "team color is related to ratio" theory.

Jewlya, I also have Mygreatlakes. If I remember correctly I had to specially request they send me info on the individual disbursements/loans. As far as your other lenders I cannot say, but I just called HRSA (more than once because I didn't trust just one answer) and asked each time I was confused on how to list my individual loans. Btw, what type of facility do you work in?

Trisha, I would DEFINITELY refax with the correct Attn name ASAP. Then call HRSA and ask about the time, the Attn mistake, and let them know you refaxed correctly.
I know last year it was around 5 weeks in between email and contract, but I'm hoping since they waited soooo long to start the emails they'll have to move a little faster! Good luck to everyone again!!
I could be wrong, but I think it's a definite possibility that they're not done sending emails yet.
Yeah, I guess the colors don't mean what we thought! Ha, they probably don't mean anything.
I hope we're only waiting 5 weeks! Or less would be better! The email did say they were signing contracts between August and September... And August is only 2 weeks away!
I know Suzy, I thought the same thing when I saw that post about the gold team and her percentage ratio. I really really hope that it doesn't mean anything, like we're second on the need list after they use up all the gold...I think I am going to call HRSA tomorrow and see what they say about it, even though I doubt I will get any information. I am trying to stay really optimistic since I even received an email! But I am nervous. And I will be very let down if I don't get it at this point! When is everyone going to start checking the mail like crazy people? I will probably start next week!
Good luck to all!!! EEeeek!

My loan dates changed and my credit was checked. I am at 177%. No e mail... I guess I messed up my application. There's always next year though. Good job everyone!
