Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful!

I feel sure now that I'm not going to get it... My student loan dates changed in February, but I don't think they did a credit check or contacted my lenders... I owe about 177% in student loans and work at a DSH, so I must have messed the application up somewhere... either that or they are just slow at getting back around to my application. It's so stressful... just keep praying for a break! :confused:

Jewlya - I too feel like the longer I wait, the more likely I am not going to get it. I sent my appliication in Jan. 4th and have heard nothing. My loan dates changed to 2/11 and 2/14. I've gotten credit checks and both my lenders have said that "someone" asked about payoff amounts way back in like April. But I honestly haven't heard of ANYBODY this year having gotten any word yet. So maybe they're just keepin everybody in suspense until the last minute! I just have a bad feeling now too, like I did something wrong or whatever because I just can't picture someone emailing me. I hate this whole thing, it makes me upset! I am trying to just get it in my head that I am not getting this money (even though I absolultely need it).

So I was looking more closely at my credit report and it does look like on the same day (2/7) that my loan dates changed on my application, there was an inquiry from First Advantage Credco... coincidence? I hope not... they still haven't contacted my lenders as far as I can tell, unless my lenders just aren't looking close enough when I call... fingers still crossed.

That's not the name I recall who ran my credit. It had health something in the name. Let me find my report and tell you.

No thats not the name of the company that checked my report. Although, quite a few of us got some random mortgage company along with the credit check. Did yo u check all three? It. only showed on one of them for me. I have given up on hearing anytime soon I just can't continue to worry about it. I hate this!

I have also had a few random mortgage companies check my credit, but it's hard to tell, as my husband and I are looking for a home and contacted 2 places about prequalification... however there are 3 mortgage companies who looked into us, so that's hopeful. This is really stressful! I guess we just have to sit back and wait.

So I got some info from Sallie today. I called to ask about putting our loans in defferment(sp). I don't know if thats is advisable so if anyone knows please let me know!

The man I spoke with at Sallie Mae stated thats they get contracts stating HRSA.'s intent to pay off loans. Hey claimed noms contracts have gone through at all yet. For anybody. He said that this is quite late for them. Either he knows what he is talking about or he is just sick of talking to us. Lol!

What the heck?! This is just cruel and inhumane punishment, lol not really but its really making me nervous. I've just tried to keep telling myself if I don't get it God must have another plan ahead for me. Like perhaps I will get a better job offer at another hospital. Just trying to stay optimistic.

I just keep thinking to myself that this year they must be doing it just like they did back in 2009, or at least that's what it seems like according to that year's blogs. Or, and this is just an idea, maybe they know it costs so much to give people all this money so they are now waiting all the way up until September, like they originally said! Maybe they are just now gettin the hang of doing this now and they're just gonna wait till september....I dunno. That would totally suck if we all had to wait until september.
