Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful!
Thanks!
Rain in your award letter did they ask you to mail back documents by a certain date?
Not that I recall. Everything was pretty much sent in and taken care of with the initial application. The only thing I had to do after that was have an employment verification form filled out, every 6 months, the entire time I received the award.
Thanks for the info Rain! What year were you awarded and how did HRSA get your banking information for deposits without the famous email first?
I was awarded my initial 2 year award in 2007. After completing my 2 year contract, I was then awarded 1 additional year for my amendment award (which was an additional application process).
They had my banking information for where to deposit the money because a direct deposit form, filled out by the bank, was required as part of the application. They've apparently changed this now, though?
Leemar- I wonder if that means they need your help obtaining the payoff amounts because they had trouble getting them on their own, or if they are so interested in you they need a more up to date payoff amount... Because each of my lenders were contacted for payoff amounts in late April... Who the heck knows.
Amybarbern- I submitted my application on 1/14. I did notice when I checked my online application that the loan dates had , changed to 2/7 so I guess that means that they looked at it, but I don't know if they have contacted my lenders or checked my credit... when I talk to the reps they just say that you will be notified by sept 30 if you got it... same as online. I'm just so nervous because my friend got it last year and she found out in June... but I guess since none of us have gotten it yet that must mean that they just haven't sent out contract award letters yet.. AAHHHHH

What banking information are you guys talking about? You mean the bank account information (i.e. routing number, account number, etc) to deposit the money into? If that's what you mean, then that was part of the original application process. A direct deposit form, filled out by the bank, was required as part of the original application that was sent in along with everything else.
