Need some school opinions please!

So I'm able to take both Anatomy and Physiology 1 with Microbiology. I'm wondering if any of you have done this? My semester got a little messed up, and I have to find a way to get at least half semester to pass. It would be with the same instructor for both classes, and I'm just wondering how you all did who actually took these two in the same semester.

I'd be going to going to class four days a week:

Monday: AP 1 Lecture 9:30 - 10:45

Tuesday: Micro Lecture 4:00 - 5:15 Micro Lab 5:30 - 6:45

Wednesday: AP 1 Lecture 9:30 - 10:45 AP 1 Lab 2:30 - 5:15

Thursday: Micro Lecture 4:00 - 5:15 Micro Lab 5:30 - 6:45

Edit: Also, I'm not working, and school is all I'm doing. My husband will be taking care of the kids.

During my prereqs, I was able to take A&P 2 and Micro along with 2 other classes. I made a B+ in A&P 2 and a B in Micro. These were the only two B's I received during my prereqs. I was also working about 30 hours a week with no kids. It's definitely possible to do and if your only taking these two classes you should be able to make A's in both! Good Luck!

I'll be starting A&P I tomorrow, with no other sciences. But, I do think you'll be able to take both of these classes and ace both! I wish my schedule looked like that.

Well, I asked the instructors opinion as well! I'm also taking an online Med Terminology class, but it's only 1 cred( Micro, and AP are 4). I just need to fill this semester up, and this instructor seems awesome. Granted, not sure how ready I am for more books.. lol

I took physiology, microbiology, and chemistry made an A in everything but chemistry I got a B. just stay on top of your work and you will be fine :)

THANK YOU!

Do you think it would be a good idea to start reading now? Just so I can get prepared? Maybe at least Chapter 1, and take some DAMN detailed notes! LOL

No I wouldn't get ahead on the reading. Some instructors do not start at the beginning of the book. So don't waste your time. I would sit in front center, pay attention, ask questions, and get help early if you don't understand something. YouTube is very helpful if you want to review a concept and if your school has tutors use them. They may have had your instructor and could give you tips on doing well in that class. Good luck!!!!

I took A&P-III alongside a 5 credit Micro course. I saw my instructor five days a week. It was pretty brutal, but I managed solid 'A's in both classes.

She actually has the syllabus up already for our courses, that's the only reason I thought of going ahead. :) I'm definitely going to jump on the tutor train, EVEN if I understand it! lol.

I suggest getting a drawing pad and some colored pencils or markers. I drew diagrams and other images during all three courses and it helped me tremendously with comprehension and memorization.

I originally bought a Grey's Anatomy coloring book, do you think that will work? :) I'm actually really good at memorization, so I'm hoping I do well. :)

I'm sure it'll work fine! Sometimes I like to listen to instrumental music like Yo-Yo Ma when I'm drawing too. :headphone: Good memorization skills will be of great use in A&P and Micro.
