Hello all,

I have been nurse for few years and only worked in LTC in NY. Now I have enough of NY and want to work in different states like Texas or North Carolina.  How do I do it?

1. Do I have to give exam? Is my NY license transferable? What do I have to do?

Thanks,

Mindy

You do not need to retest.  Rather, you apply for licensure by endorsement.  The BON's website for whichever state you choose should detail the steps.

Best wishes

How long it will take to get it endorsed? I am thinking once I get it endorsed I will put my house on market or will start looking for a job in Texas and move.

Thanks,

Mindy
