Need Motivation For NCLEX-RN!

Published

I'm taking NCLEX-RN around the 1st week of July and I have no motivation to study. I failed my first attempt at NCLEX in May 2013 with 265 questions. Right now I'm taking Saunders and Hurst QBanks and just pretty much answering questions like every 2-3days or so which is very bad. I know what I want but I'm just stuck in lazy mode. Can anyone give me tips to get my motivation up? I really need it. My scores when I do take questions are around above 55%-72% on Saunders. Is that good? Cause I found their QBank to be good but questions seem too easy at times. What is your take on Saunders and Hurst?

I just took my nclex but I didn't get the official result yet so I dont really know if i passed or failed. Anyway, I experience times like Im too lazy to ready or answer questions. There were like one week where I read so much then after that I just dont feel like doing anything other than watch my favorite show. I just go with it. Then I found a study buddy online. I think it helps if there is someone you can discuss lessons with. It makes you realize there are a lot of things you dont know that she knows and make you study more

..my score in saunders yellow book was like 40% during my first week of studying then it increase to 70-80% 2 weeks before my exam. I didnt take hurst review..

You can do it! I honestly found that just scheduling myself to study made me honor that time and commitment.

I used Kaplan and ATI but I think just about anything will work as long as you're putting in the time to take the tests and read the rationales.

I was able to take the NCLEX 06/10/2013 and had my license number less than 30 min after walking out of the testing center. The time you put in will be worth it and you can make it happen!! Good luck!
